InterCult – Associação Internacional dos Pesquisadores das Culturas, the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), and the Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) invite researchers, artists, cultural managers, students, and representatives of civil society to submit proposals for the XII Congresso Internacional sobre Culturas, to be held November 16–20, 2026, in Salvador and Cachoeira (Bahia, Brazil).

With the overarching theme “Crossings: Cultures and Insurgencies,” the congress aims to provide an international forum for dialogue, bringing together participants from different countries and fields of knowledge. Within the theme, we highlight the specific group “Technological Crossings,” which addresses the passage of cultures through digital territories—social media, platforms, and AI systems—and the asymmetries that challenge digital sovereignty.

The call is open until July 30, 2026, and accepts submissions in the form of extended abstracts, publications, and artistic and cultural works.
