The “Anglophone Travellers in Portugal” project is heading abroad! On November 14 and 15, 2024, we will have the pleasure of sharing our project and its developments at the international conference The Traveller’s Tale: Emergent Forms and Minority Traditions, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Alongside other CETAPS members, whose investigations and projects will also be shared in the conference, Maria Zulmira Castanheira, Luciano Moreira and Maria Beatriz Rodrigues will present a communication titled "The ‘Anglophone Travellers in Portugal’ project: A citizen science approach to map (born-digital) written accounts". After introducing the project’s background and history, we will focus on not only the interdisciplinary work achieved in the past months, but also our future goals of exploring participatory citizen science, as well as emerging forms of travel writing.
We are beyond excited to participate in the first event of the global project “The Traveller’s Tale: Global Forms and Circulations” and look forward to learning more about evolving forms of travel writing.
