The seas are decisive for our collective future. For some years now, I have been researching our common sense of the seas and, for the first time, I looked into the literary landscape in search of new paths at the crossroads of digital humanities, speculative fiction and social representations.

I presented the preliminary research in a symposium organized by Mauro Sarrica at the International Conference on Social Representations in Brest, this July.

The symposium was quite exciting as it pinpointed critical contemporary issues that affect our democracies and the environment. I was honored to share the floor with Mauro Sarrica, Sapienza University of Rome,,  Alice Fonseca and Paula Castro, ISCTE, and Sara Bigazzi, University Of Pécs.
