This workshop introduces "Futures Lab" as an innovative participatory method that combines social psychology, futures studies, and utopian studies to explore how people imagine, negotiate, and contest the futures. Focusing on the energy transition, we will explore the moral values and identities guiding what futures are seen as desirable, acceptable, or resistible.

Join us on February 13th, 2026 (14h00-16h00), FLUP - Meeting Room II (2nd floor)

The workshop will be conducted by Mirella de Falco, a Ph.D candidate at the Joint International Doctorate in Social Representations, Culture and Communication a the University of Rome La Sapienza. She is currently in Porto for a six-month stay at the CETAPS Digital Lab to investigate the relationship between science fiction and energy futures.
